We are looking for a talented, experienced Thai or Southeast Asian chef to join our growing independent restaurant business as Deputy Head Chef.

Our restaurant is known for its bold, deep southern, rich and fiery flavours, cooked with authenticity, respect, and passion. This role is perfect for a chef who truly understands Thai flavours, balance, spice, and technique.

About The Role

As Deputy Head Chef, you will work closely with the Head Chef and owners to:

  • Lead kitchen service and ensure consistently high standards

  • Prepare and execute authentic Thai dishes using traditional techniques

  • Support menu development, specials, and seasonal dishes

  • Manage stock, ordering, and food cost controls

  • Train and mentor junior chefs

  • Uphold exceptional food safety, hygiene, and presentation standards

This is a hands-on leadership role, not an office position.

This role is ideal for:

  • Experienced Thai or Southeast Asian chefs

  • Strong CDPs ready to step up or Junior Sous / Sous Chefs

  • Chefs with a deep understanding of Thai flavours, pastes, sauces, and spice balance

  • Calm, organised kitchen leaders who thrive during busy service

  • Passionate food professionals who care deeply about authenticity and quality

Essential:

  • Experience cooking authentic Thai or Southeast Asian cuisine

  • Right to work in the UK

  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
